
Kansas City Chess Club Merit Badge Session
On Novelmber 30th, 2014, the Kansas City Chess Club hosted an event for area Boy, Cub and Girl Scouts. Boys from Raymore Cub Scout Pack 124 and Raymore Boy Scout Troop 124 participated in the Chess tournement and merit badge class. Boy Scouts completed the Merit Badge while Cub Scouts completed dthe belt loop and pin.

November 2014 Camp at Cave Springs.
Raymore Boy Scout Troop 124 visited Cave Springs on November 22nd-24th, completed a service project and explored the site. The boys then spent time helping younger Scouts work toward 1st Class rank and preparing for the Klondike Derby in January. Photos by Troop Historian Matthew P

November Webelos-Only Camp
Webelos from Raymore Cub Scout Pack 124 spent the night at Cave Springs learning about forestry and geology. Building volcanos out of modeling clay and inducing a vinegar and baking soda eruption is all part of the fun.

Tiger Den Learns About Firefighting
What a treat! Tigers from Raymore Cub Scout Pack 124 were given a personal demonstration of firefighter equipment in their den meeting last week.

Tree Planting at Wallace Park
Raymore and Belton area Boy, Cub and Girl Scouts worked together to plant 50 trees at Wallace Park this weekend. These trees will help control erosion, provide shade and habitat for wildlife. This is an annual project in conjunction with the Belton Tree Board allowing Scouts to play a big part in helping both the environment and their community.

Negro League Baseball Museum
Raymore Cub Scout Pack 124's Bear den visited the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum this month. The boys learned about the history and rich historical culture of the sport made by the African American community.
